My Comprehension Of Development Deficiency - 905 Words

We live in a world where the development is a primary and scarce good high in need and â€Å"demand â€Å"but is short in â€Å"supply† creating â€Å"development deficiency† (this much is agreed by many despite limited comprehension of the process of development itself and its ultimate fruits). Poor countries are in need of development taking into consideration they do not have assets to â€Å"back up† in contrast to emerging economies that are on the demand side given their economic assets. By â€Å"development deficiency† I mean we need and there is a potential â€Å"to produce† more development. My comprehension of development is simple –social transformation promising better life, more opportunities with open arms. I associate better life with the quality of it, meaning even, how long we live may not â€Å"have a say† in this respect. As defined by Amartya Sen (1983), development involves centring on human â€Å"entitlements† perceived as rights and opportunities available rather than concentrating on economic indicators such as a personal income, GDP per head, total production and so on. He argues that development can be seen as expanding freedoms such as economic facilities, political freedoms, social opportunities, and it is the main target and the means of development. There is a distinction between â€Å"ends† and â€Å"means† of development. â€Å"Wealth is evidently not the good we are seeking; for it is merely useful and for the sake of something else† (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics). While economic indicators, thatShow MoreRelatedProcess of Developing and Implementing an Individualized Education Program (IEP) 837 Words   |  4 PagesIEP Reflection IEP Reflection The development and implementation of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) occurs after a student is eligible to receive exceptional student services through a referral and evaluation process. The Letter Of A Family Essay - 2577 Words

The Preface: â€Å"Happy or unhappy, families are all mysterious. We have only to imagine how differently we would be described by each family member who believes that they know us† (Steinem). The subject of family is a broad one, as family is a term everyone seems to know, but at the same time, it has a different meaning to all of us; therefore, families are indeed a tricky subject to study. When one thinks of the ideal family, they may imagine a close-knit group of individuals who support, care, and love each other, rather they are blood-related or not. Unfortunately, most individuals don’t experience this as their family life. Until now, I never knew the extent of the hostility and division that various events such as divorce and hospitalizations brought unto my family. While conducting my research, I learned that my family is no outlier, as they have dealt with adultery, abuse, illness, division, and death. Ideally your family defines who you are as a person, but in this paper we are going to look at individuals who never had a steady family life, thus using their own personal experiences to define themselves at a young age. Along with that, we are going to showcase a family that fell apart due to excessive separation and unfaithfulness. In this paper, I will highlight these events while also comparing them with the myriad of data and research that I have learned throughout my time in the Marriage and Families class. To begin this analysis, I believe that it is mostShow MoreRelatedLetter To Families768 Words   |  4 Pagesleave. The good things that have changed are now women can work and earn money for families. Queen Yearbook free essay sample

What template are we using for the Student Life section? How will we take our portraits outside if it rains tomorrow? Anna, should we feature star athletes over team composites? Often, it is assumed I have the answers to these types of questions. In reality, I am not the most technologically savvy person in Room 1156 and I certainly dont know everything. However, as Editor-In-Chief of the yearbook, I need to make the call. Look at the template I uploaded yesterday. Its supposed to rain tomorrow, but Friday it will be sunny so plan to meet outside then instead. I think the team picture needs to be the biggest on the page. While continuously making my rounds to assist the yearbook staff with their assigned pages, I realize that while being a leader, I cannot be a Stalin. Instead, my Malala side needs to come forth: I have to show my trust and faith in the yearbook staff. We will write a custom essay sample on Queen Yearbook or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I like to think of these sessions as working out a math equation something I am good at and tends to calm me. The Yearbook class is similar to a polynomial equation because there are multiple variables and not necessarily just one solution. Hence, rather than being arduous, I am open to it and I realize that the Editor position can be an inspiring one. No, I am not positive that I want the font throughout the book to be Baskerville rather than Futura, or if there should be a design on the Table of Contents. The layout editor has more experience in this field so rather than her repeatedly asking me What do you want the colors to be throughout the yearbook, I can respond the first time with Lopa, you know what you are doing. I trust your judgment and am excited to see the final product! As Editor-In-Chief, or as some call me Queen Yearbook, I acknowledge that Im grateful that sometimes peoples ideas are going to be better than my own.It is the day before the sports section is due and the Sports Editor is absent. What should I do? Do I panic? Do I assign the Business Editor to finish the Tenni s page? Or do I realize that there are bound to be hurdles that sometimes may seem like setbacks, but in reality are overcome with a calm, clear mind. Note to self: remember this previous statement regularly. I am going to finish aligning photos, and Peter, since you are done writing the Color Guard copy, please finish up the Football copy as well; your writing is impressive. My resilience starts to shine through and Im not going to lie, I would not mind if it visited more often. It is in Yearbook that these traits tend to exude from me, qualities that sometimes shrink into the corner, yet attributes I am proud of. I am eager to see how these characteristics will express themselves in my future endeavors. Although I often question my authority and think, I am the same age as these kids. I have been in this class just as long as my peers have. What are they going to think of me when I look at them and say, Its time to put your phone away and refocus. I realize that I have to take control and be the leader this Yearbook class demands. Each and every morning, I take a deep breath while opening the door to Room 1156. After fifty-two minutes, I exit the room, and while exhaling, a smile comes across my face. I feel like the person walking away is someone Id follow, Id trust, and Id like to spend more time with.
